This new home is built on one of the most beautiful beaches in the state. Our clients had very specific programming of spaces and clean detailing. The home was constructed while the owners were still living overseas, so Welch and Weeks took special care to oversee the construction (helps to have a good contractor too). Despite being over 5500 miles away from each other, we were able to keep the process very close and personal.
Of course materials were selected to stand up against the harsh salt conditions. Concrete board panels and trim, vinyl windows and an aluminum corrugated roof also provide the home with a distinctly Hawaii plantation look. The home fits well with its surroundings without shouting "look at me".
