Lihiwai Historic Restoration Honolulu, Hawaii Project Details 2015
Lihiwai was the residence of Territorial Governor Carter in Honolulu, Hawaii. The estate was designed by architects Bertram Goodhue and Hardie Phillip, built 1927-29, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The new owners restored the home over a two-year period, completing the project in 2014. Welch and Weeks consulted during the construction, designed the new master bathroom and closet (combining two existing bathrooms and a bedroom), along with the new kitchen, pantry and laundry areas.
